Beekeepers

There are beekeepers statewide that can provide pollination services.  Some only have a couple of hives to move, some have hundreds. The key is to find a beekeeper with whom you can build a long-lasting business relationship.

Tennessee Pollinators
The Regulatory Services Division of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture maintains a list of beekeepers willing to move hives for pollination. It can be downloaded from the Division's website.

Tennessee Beekeepers Association
The Tennessee Beekeepers Association's objectives include the promotion of modern, scientific beekeeping throughout Tennessee, encouragement of youth in the art of beekeeping, and informing the public of the importance of the honey bee. On the TBA web site you will find a listing of the numerous local associations statewide. Through a local association you may find additional beekeepers interested in pollination contracts or you may be inspired to become a beekeeper yourself.

Pollination Contracts
Many beekeepers already have a standard pollination contract which they use. The University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service offers the publication "Making a Pollination Contract" available for downloading.
